our vision and values

We love gardening! We enjoy every bit of it and the best part is the end product - the happy customer. We aim to get to know our customers personally and provide landscaping/gardening to suit their personality. We also love nature so we aim to be an environmentally responsible company as much as is possible.

We always like to make sure that our customers are happy and well informed of what we are doing in their garden and how much it is going to cost. Some of our customers like to work in the garden together with us. Others like us to help when choosing plants at their favourite garden centre, while others want us to take over whole job.

nature

Being the guardians of our environment we choose to do as little damage as possible... Nature knows what is best and we respect that! So when planning a garden we try to minimize the need for watering by choosing plants suitable for individual conditions and when a customer wants a native garden, we research the local environment and try to recreate a natural landscape.

sustainability

For garden maintenance we use a range of battery powered machinery - no petrol, fumes or high noise levels! We are always trying to find eco-friendly or natural-based solutions for pest and disease control. When sourcing garden materials and products we prefer to buy them locally. Other products we choose to source from suppliers with broad social and economic responsibilities.

about us

Here at CzechThis - two of us make the perfect team. We established the company in January 2015 but have more than 12 years of experience in gardening and have a passion for it! Rather than a large scale landscaping business, we strive to be personal gardeners in our work and attitude.

Peter

Peter is the driving force of our business. Green fingers run in his family over a couple of generations, he loves what he does and lives for it! He has an exceptional focus for detail, respect for nature and excellent customer care. He has been gardening for over 12 years: a family garden maintenance business, commercial landscaping operations and his own business in Europe provided enough skills and experience to start anew here in New Zealand.

Klara

Klara is an important part of our design process. What might to Peter appear as red, yellow and violet, Klara will see as crimson, lemon and lavender... Originally a graphic designer she has a deep understanding of color combinations, their variations as well as combining different shapes and textures. She is also in charge of all marketing materials, photography and IT solutions. When it comes to gardening she loves to get her hands dirty and help with planting, pruning, mulching and seasonal clean-ups too!
